When you create an account: your name, email, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). Optionally: phone number, city, and a profile photo. If you organize or RSVP to an event: the event details you submit, your RSVP status, comments, and reviews.
Bhandara King is intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
If you choose to continue with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create or sign in to your Bhandara King account. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not post to your Google account or access any other Google data on your behalf.
The Discover feed can sort events by distance using your device's location, and event creation can use your location to fill in an address. Location access is optional — the app still works without it, sorted by date instead of distance.
The Map tab and the "pin your event's location" picker are powered by the Google Maps Platform (Maps SDK). When you open a map or place a pin, your device communicates directly with Google to load map tiles and, if you enable it, show your current location on the map — this happens independently of our own server. Your use of Google Maps within Bhandara King is also subject to Google's Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google's own Privacy Policy, which govern how Google handles the data your device sends it while a map is shown.
If you tap "Add to Calendar" on an event, the app reads your device's calendars to find one it can write to (creating a "Bhandara King" calendar if needed) and adds the event to it. This stays on your device only — we do not read your existing calendar entries or send any calendar data to our server. Calendar access is optional and only used when you choose to add an event.
Photos you upload for an event are stored on the app's server and are visible to anyone who can view that event listing.
The homescreen may show a small rotating banner of promotional images set by the Bhandara King team (for example, sponsors or community partners). These banners are the same for every user — we do not personalize them to you, profile you for advertising, or share your data with any ad network. Tapping a banner may open a link to an external website or app, which has its own privacy practices.
If you use the "Advertise with us" form to inquire about a banner, we collect the name, email, phone number (if provided), company/brand (if provided), and message you submit, solely to respond to your inquiry. This information is not used for any other purpose and is not shared beyond the Bhandara King team.
Your data is used to operate the app's core features: showing your events and RSVPs, displaying your public organizer profile, sending you in-app notifications (see "Notifications" below), and calculating your profile stats and badges.
The app shows you in-app notifications for event reminders, new comments on events you organize, new followers, and changes to events you're attending (such as a cancellation or a change of date, time, or location). Reminder notifications are generated on the fly from your RSVPs and are never stored. Comment, follower, and event-change notifications are stored on our server against your account so the notification list and unread badge work across sessions and devices.
To keep this list relevant, notifications are deleted automatically: an unread notification is removed after 20 days if it's never opened, and a notification is removed 10 days after you open it. This happens automatically in the background — there's nothing you need to do, and there's no way to recover a notification once it's been removed this way.
Your name, profile photo, and a public organizer profile (events you've organized, follower count) are visible to other users. Your email and phone number are not shown publicly unless you choose to share them on an event listing as organizer contact info.
We do not sell your data. Your information is not shared with third parties except as needed to operate the app itself — for example, Google, to authenticate a Google sign-in you initiate and to show maps and your current location within the app (see "Google Maps" above).
You can edit or remove your profile information at any time from your account, and you can delete individual events, comments, or bookmarks you've created. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, RSVPs, comments, reviews, follows, and bookmarks; events you organized are kept so other attendees aren't affected. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Don't have the app installed anymore, or can't sign in? You can request account deletion without opening the app by emailing kumarpankajgkv@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We'll verify the request and delete the account within a reasonable time.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to kumarpankajgkv@gmail.com.
